New acts added to Download line-up

It has just been announced that joining the line-up for this years download festival is another 12 acts. These include; Down, Papa Roach, Skin, Journey, Tesla, Lacuna Coil, Black Stone Cherry, Clutch, Architects, Karma To Burn and Parkway Drive.

Maybe the most notable addition is, former Soundgarden and Audioslave front man, Chris Cornell. Cornell worked with Timbaland on his latest solo album 'Scream' saying it is "a highlight of my career." Yet, it was because of work on the album that he missed last years Download Festival.

The album has already come under criticism before its official UK release, especially from Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. Cornell even went as far as doing a 30-minute video interview talking about the controversy around the album. Both Reznor and Cornell are currently involved in a war of words on social networking site Twitter.

Chris Cornell's album 'Scream' is scheduled for release on the 23rd of March.
